Europcar launches partnership with Aerolineas Argentinas

Paris, 4 February 2005 Europcar is launching its new partnership with Aerolineas Argentina’s Frequent Flyer programme AR Plus. Members who rent at any Europcar station throughout the world will gain 18 points per day, up to a maximum of 18 days. During the first three months of the partnership, this is being doubled to 36 points per day. Europcar is also offering great car rental deals to AR Plus members with up to 15% discount on its highly competitive international rates. The discount depends on the customer membership level.

Europcar believes in developing strong, mutually beneficial partnerships with selected airlines that give added value to its customers.  Salvatore Catania, Europcar’s CEO, stated: "Aerolineas Argentinas and Europcar share many of the same values, such as providing added value and a high standard of service to our customers. This makes AR Plus the perfect mobility partner for Europcar in a market where our business volumes have steadily increased since 2000." As well as in Argentina, Europcar currently operates in ten other Latin American countries.

Carlos Flores, Europcar’s Franchisee Zone Director for Latin America, added: "As borders become less restrictive, leisure and business travel is on the increase and car rental services are becoming a welcome and indeed necessary mobility alternative for all kinds of travellers. Customers are price-sensitive, but still look for a familiar brand, excellent service, reliable cars, and good rates. Europcar offers peace of mind on all these fronts".

Europcar already enjoys a strong presence in Argentina with rental stations at 14 airport and 16 downtown locations.

Europcar is represented in 126 countries with 2,680 rental stations and operates a fleet of over 220,000 vehicles throughout Europe, Central and South America, Africa, the Middle East, the Caribbean and Asia-Pacific. Further information is available at www.europcar.com, at your travel agency, or in your local booking centre.
