Europcar online results boosted in 2002
Paris, 17 March 2003. A large number of developments contributed to these encouraging web results. The main national Europcar web sites were harmonized to extend Corporate Identity into the online segment. Redesigned www.europcar.com now contains new user-oriented features for corporate clients and travel agencies like a dedicated booking engine, a "Special Offers" module or a business section. Europcar’s enhanced online reservation service provides real time information about prices and availability. It allows visitors to book a vehicle world-wide by a few clicks with immediate confirmation. Online pre-paid products emphasise comfort and convenience for the user. The customer benefits from a lower price if he prepays at booking time. The objective of Europcar in 2002 was to provide more effective and user-friendly navigation for its customers and to make the booking procedure even easier. "This year’s target will be to launch innovative web products and to reinforce Europcar’s presence on the net via partnerships, advertising and e-mail campaigns", said Kirsten Roennau, Marketing Director, Europcar International, Paris. "The web continues to be an important element in Europcar’s distribution strategy and a privileged tool for communication with the customers", she added.
